Child Birthing Class August 23, 2008
On Thursday evening we went to our first birthing class. It is a four week class one night a week for three hours. The experience was eye opening and a little stomach wrenching. As we watched the instructor hold up the pelvic bone while she twisted the baby’s body and pushed the head through the opening, our eyes popped open and we both cringed! Adam said, had he known all of this before getting pregnant we might not be where we are now ::smile::. He constantly reminds me, it’s a good thing I am going through labor and not him because he couldn’t handle it.
We giggled at the instruction video, the waddling women and strange looking couples. The most disgusting part of the night was when we saw the birth of the placenta! I about fainted from the sight of it. Kudos to all of you who have birthed one before.
Also, we met some new friends that night. The best part of the class was when the wife got to give the husband a massage. I enjoyed it almost as much as Adam. We both learned quite a bit!

YIKES!
