I have been commuting on my bike to work for about four weeks now. So far it has been a great experience. It feels so good to get out of work and just go. It actually takes me the same amount of time to ride the 5.4 miles as it does to drive it. Today the weather does not look to be in my favor. I may be swimming home rather than biking. The only pieces of rain gear I have are two Zip Locks and a Hefty. I am excited for the adventure I will let you know how it turns out.
So I wake up this morning and open up the newspaper to find out that the river we were Kayaking in yesterday is full of pollutants. No big surprise these days. I just thought it was kind of funny here we are thinking we are in this clear clean water and come to find out we weren’t. Check out the article if you want. Orlando Sentinel
This is Arissa’s last weekend of freedom. Soon she will return to the joyful land of Middle schoolers. Since it was our last weekend of summer together we wanted to do something really fun. I told her this week not to worry and I would take care of the plans. I came up with this elaborate plan to go to the beach, stay at bed and breakfast, and go out to dinner. I guess everyone had the same idea as I did and the only room I could find was $250 a night. So we decided to go Kayaking at Wekiwa state park. The weather was amazing and we had such a good time. Except towards the end when it felt like my legs were going to fall off. So my plans fell through but it didn’t stop us from having a great weekend so far.
