Yesterday was a great day! Around 9am my usual lunch time I got a text from Arissa that her and the boys were coming for a visit. I was really happy to hear that. It is always an awesome thing to see my family in the middle of my work day and it doesn’t usually happen since we live about 40 miles away from where I work. When they got there Nehemiah ran through the doors and screamed “Papa!” that is pretty normal in my day whether it is when I get home or when they show up for church but in a call center enviroment it’s different. The sounds of children are rarely heard in a call center unless it is the crazy kid screaming in the background on the phone. It seemed like every head turned toward my little family walking through the door, and that makes me so proud. Usually when people see my family they are like “wow how did you land that chick and make those beautiful kids”? It always makes me proud to be a husband and father. It also brings my heart great joy to know that my wife and boys love me so so much. That love is my greatest life accomplishment.
Since they were in town I met up with them and took Nehemiah to a mining museum in Colorado Springs. Osias and Arissa headed home because little man needed a nap. The museum was great but the tour was definitely not 3 year old friendly. First off it was an hour and a half and second the guy talked about each item for about 10 minutes each. I have never seen someone so passionate about mining tools. Nehemiah and I ditched the tour after about 12 minutes. We walked through the museum and then headed out see all the outside stuff. As always I had my camera and had the opportunity to snap some really cool pictures. Here is one of my favorites.
I loved seeing people like family in work place. It was like a breath of fresh air from the tense world.You are such a great papa. Isn’t cool that you can realize how cool it is to be greeted with “papa” when you see it outside of the normal context. Precious boy all he knows is you are ‘HIS PAPA” pure love. Hey how did you get that hot chick to be your wife? : )
